There’s plenty more background provided in the book, with the setting of the Nachmund War (also the setting for the next Kill Team release) explored fairly thoroughly, as well as a good look at both the Aeldari and the Black Legion’s history and what brought them both to this particular planet at this particular point in the far future.

The Death Spinner is no slouch either, being the flamer+++ option, getting d6 auto-hits at S6 AP-2, and also having Blast.The Rangers bring a different energy to the Aeldari part of the box compared to their allies: a coolness, a quiet stoicism, that of a berath held before the pull of a trigger – but this energy doesn’t quite match that of the other Aeldari in the box. With 12 wounds, this beast is truly difficult to take down, and can be comfortably sat in the middle of the battlefield to rain down its weapons on your foes.

The quality of the figure, the detail on the sculpt, everything about this model is just phenomenal. The same effort doesn’t seem to have been afforded to the rules themselves, though, and what energy there is attributed to this part of the book has been spread quite thinly. Again from a model point of view these are stunning with both a driver and a sniper on the back of each bike capturing both elements of the Ranger design and modern updated jetbikes! Obviously that’s going to burn through your CP pretty quick if you use it too often, but sometimes there’s just no substitute for a re-roll at a key moment, so this rules.Points-wise, the Chaos Space Marines are valued at 17 points total, while the Aeldari are only valued at 12 points total. GW provided us with a review copy of the set, and we dove in to see what it's made of and how it plays. This unit is a single model, and he comes absolutely kitted out with a full armory of weapons including a power axe, mechatendrils, a meltagun, a flamer, a plasma pistol, frag grenades, and krak grenades. While both of these factions desperately needed reworks to their miniatures line, the Eldar having models dating from the 1990s probably needed them more! All the Asuryani units in this box have two new abilities listed – Battle Focus and Strands of Fate.
