Sometimes, it is worth looking beyond forgetting to explore other reasons patients don’t take their medication as prescribed.
For instance, some medicines should not be taken with milk as this can reduce how well they are absorbed. Care workers and other social care practitioners should advise people and/or their family members or carers to seek advice from a health professional (for example, the prescriber or a pharmacist) if they have clinical questions about medicines. constipation – get more fibre into your diet such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water.
